Why we exist
Many businesses want to digitalize and modernize, but for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), that’s easier said than done. Outdated ERP systems, limited integrations, and increasing complexity make it hard to keep up. Heart.work exists to break that pattern — by unlocking the data you already own and making it work for you.

Over the years, we saw a pattern in SMEs: steady growth built on a familiar ERP system, which once fit perfectly, but slowly became a bottleneck. Businesses evolved, but their systems didn’t. Processes were shaped around limitations, and innovation became costly and difficult to maintain.
At the same time, we noticed that while enterprise companies could afford full digital strategies, SMEs were falling behind. Technology was moving faster than they could reasonably adopt. Migrating to a newer ERP version every few years simply wasn’t realistic — and starting from scratch didn’t solve enough of the problem to justify the investment.
From idea to platform
At one point, we considered building a new ERP from the ground up. But that would’ve made us just another complex system that tried to do everything. Instead, we focused on what really mattered: helping businesses unlock and use their ERP data — without replacing the system they depend on.
That’s how the idea for a business data platform was born: a layer that connects with your ERP, lets you choose which data to use, enriches it, and makes it available for other tools and use cases. Whether that’s e-commerce, production management, or customer self-service.
We quickly saw recurring challenges across industries — especially in wholesale and manufacturing — so we built specific solutions like Commerce for product-heavy businesses that needed customer-specific catalogs, pricing, and fast ordering, all without reinventing the wheel. We make things generic where we can, and leave room for customization where it matters.
What we do today
Heart.work started in 2019 with four people and a clear ambition. Since 2022, it’s an independent company with a passionate team of over ten developers, working daily to improve the platform. Our architecture is now battle-tested and supports hundreds of daily orders and hundreds of thousands of products.
We focus on real industry challenges — like wholesalers who need to turn 15,000 ERP records into a usable webshop with rich filtering, smart variant handling, and customer-specific logic. Instead of reinventing the solution each time, we offer customers a starting point based on what already works.
Where we’re headed
We’re growing — both in team size and customer base — and preparing to move into a new office by the end of 2025. In the years ahead, we’ll expand across new verticals and continue to evolve our solutions based on real needs in the field.
We’ll keep focusing on flexibility, integration, and smart tooling that helps SMEs stay competitive without sacrificing simplicity.
